role=\"presentation\"><span class=\"plus\"><\/span><\/span><\/button><div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\" role=\"region\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A boil water advisory is issued when an accidental situation could affect water quality or, much more rarely, when bacteria are present in the water.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duration<\/strong><br>Generally 48 to 72 hours, the time needed to conduct water analyses.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Information<\/strong><br>A notice is placed on your door:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the beginning of the boil water advisory&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the end of the advisory.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At home<\/strong><br>Boil tap water at a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before consuming it, even if you have a home water treatment system.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use boiled or bottled water for\u202f:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drinking or making beverages&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing baby formula and baby food&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Washing and preparing raw foods&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing foods that do not require prolonged cooking (discard any food prepared with tap water on the day of the advisory)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making ice cubes (discard those made on the day of the advisory)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Giving water to pets&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use tap water without boiling it first for\u202f:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cooking food in boiling water&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Running the dishwasher with hot water and the drying cycle&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Washing clothes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taking a shower or bath (avoid swallowing water and wash young children with a washcloth)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Schools, Businesses, Shops, and Institutions<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Turn off all water
