Every year, several snowblower thefts are reported to the laval police department. Here’s how to protect yours. 

Prevention tips 

  • Store your snowblower in a secure, locked, and well-lit area, such as a garage or shed, if possible. 
  • If you must store it outside, secure it to a fixed structure and block the wheels. 
  • It is recommended to:

  • Note down key identification details: 
    • Brand Model Engine power (gas or electric) Clearing width Color Year of manufactureSerial number 

Tips to help Laval police 

Your observations can help law enforcement act quickly. 

  • Report any suspicious vehicles in your neighborhood to 911, especially those large enough to transport a snowblower. 
  • Note important details about the vehicle (make and model, license plate number, description of occupants).
